A new update for America's Army has been released - you can grab the patch from the previous version (2.00 to 2.00a) or the full version now locally from AusGamers. Check out the file pages for the details of the changes.

Haha.. they keep pumping out new verions of this game and it just gets crapper and bigger every time. Serves em' right for releasing it orriginally as a free download. Get ready for patch 162..

Right on America's Army!

The only bad thing with SF is that the SF levels need a pretty good computer to run properly, other than that, the game really does keep getting better with the patches

" I know of millions of people worldwide who would STRONGLY disagree with you...."

Personally?

On a serious note, I like AA. I've just started playing it again and I'm enjoying the challenge.

Bulletime - I actually downloaded it the day it first came out. I also completed basic training and tried like millions to connect to the US based Homelan servers unsucessfully. I guess you can't ask too much fmo a free download or i'm spoilt with the much beter gameplay of Battlefield.

You do realise that you're in Australia, and the game is really for Americans, and its free, right?

The ability to connect to Official servers has changed dramaticly since the game's first release.

The first release had TERRIBLE problems with server timeouts and 40 people wanting to jump onto a 20 man server. Anyway, that's all gone and it's pretty easy to find a server with free slots.

AA may be fun but I got soooooo BORED with the basic training! I want to game and relax after work not apply for the fricking US army. I am personally going to take a stand against control seeking companies & armies; but removing this anal retentive first person shooter and returning to Metal of Honor and Battlefield. I could have enjoyed my last 3 hours, instead of trying to adjust the user controls (joystick support somewhere) and pass this basic training.

I had to reboot my computer three times when the system became locked, especially if you accidently remove the esc. key in the controls. Found that out when the joystick didn't enter. So I tired to exit, bad move! Why not a notice of a key conflick? Like in Battlefield.

What is with this MANDATORY "basic training" garbage. What next? I have no idea if this game is any fun or too serious. What happens with friendly fire? Get your door kicked in and sent to a milatary jail? It's suppose to be a GAME, not a new way of life.

Time to take out the garbage.

Its to make sure random noobs have a vague idea of what they're doing before they join real servers. I think its a great idea; it means you're more likely to get a better game out of it.
