oh yeah, if u suck at jap by any chance, that means i picked a RioVolt SP-90 up at some shop affiliated with yahoo australia.

sound quality is no different from a retail cd.

also, the disc will spin for 30 seconds at the start of the song, to write it to memory, then will play the rest of the song while the cd is stationary.
(no skipping what so ever)

that was $180 about 8 months ago, so should be rather cheap now

Id rather get an ipod. They are soooo solid design wise. You can get the 10 or 15 GIG player for around $400 now too.

Im actually considering getting one. If I didnt work so much Id get one without thought but im not sure how much sue Id get out of it.

I had a Samsung one, it was one of the early ones. It had 40sec anti-shcok (which was awsome, never skipped), remote, LCD and some awsome bass. It didnt go that loud, but the sounds in it was really good! I think it was about $250 in singapore.....it was the best at the time, but it was ages ago, think it was 2000! I got a marvel USB Mp3 player now.....I'd advice to get one of them instead.
