Hey.

Just gotten back into the world of Emulators (Thanks Khel!).

Bottom line: I'm poor as f***, but I wanna pick up a super cheap 4 button Gamepad. Doesnt have to be anything flash, just has to be a gamepad, and have 4 buttons.

Cheapest I can find is like ~$30, which is too expensive :P I'm positive I've seen a couple of ones cheaper elsewhere, I just can't seem to find them now :(

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

Solution - save up or lay-by...

in the long run buying a decent controller is worth the wait

Kaygen - Brookside.

Heh yeah Power, but I'm just thinking, I dont need anything flash or high quality. It wont really get too much extensive use, I just more want the general layout of a control pad, to make playing just a bit more comfortable.

I'm only using it for MAME roms :) Dont need force feedback etc, just a VERY standard 4 button gamepad.

I remember seeing a few AGES ago for like $15 each, that's the kind of stuff I'm after. Just dont know where to get them is all :(

Buy an XBox, get it modded, and play the roms on that.

Maybe not cost effective, but its by far the best solution ;)

1/ get a job

2/ waste money on crap

3/ over time, learn what is worth your hard earnt bucks and what is *not*

4/ ask again - next time your request may be taken seriously by those who can give you a serious answer if they can remember you

Thats pretty relative to the person in question though. Some people may enjoy spending their money on PC stuff and having the fastest machine around. Some may enjoy putting money into their cars.

For example, my brother got out a $5000 loan from the bank, and put it into doing up his car. If that was me, I'd buy a laptop with that $5000. If it was someone else entirely they may use it as a deposit on a house.

If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad ;)

Yeah, thanks man. I honestly don't recall seeing in the title "Hi, I am looking for a lecture from some guy who I don't know -- Please post all your un-justified snide remarks as to how you are better than the rest of us with your awesome paying job and ability to purchase stuff just for the hell of it, cos I forgot, even though I have a job, you feel the need to lecture me on getting a job". However, I will re-read it, just to be certain...

Nope, I dont see that at all.

Get out of my thread -- I'm looking for cheap gamepads for a PC.

If you had the faintest of clues about my situation, you wouldnt have opened your mouth, f***wit.

Back on topic: Still no joy over at my end. Anyone else find anything? =\

Got any ps2 pads or anything laying around? I'm pretty sure you can get converters to use them on your pc, dont know how much they cost though, but it might be cheaper than $30?

Yeah Khel, I was thinking that. I have NEVER seen any such thing however, although I'm sure they do exist.

The last I remember, there was some schimatic (sp?) on the web that told you how to make one, but I'm f***ing hopeless with that kind of stuff =\

While you are at it, how about googling up some information on how not to be a hypocritical f***wit?

So far you've made two posts to this thread, and added absolutely zero content, yet you call us 'spammers'?

I bought a MS Sidewinder control pad a while ago and it works awesomely for MAME and SNES roms. Except it was $50.

I take offense to that - then again, from your perspective it was probably justified.

I'm after the same - only bigger.

The one Pharcyde is after is easily attained from the Sunday Computer Market for less than $15.oo (usb).

It s***s me cause I know I'll find a person with the hands-on knowledge to do the job I want done on the OCAU forums instead of ye old faithfull Qgl :(

the search continues...
