I just got it - yes, its an expansion, you need to have Generals installed. Not sure what it is; I'll prolly be reviewing it tomorrow or the next day if you want to wait for some opinions before buying it.

Tell us if they have improved AI when you get the chance to play it.

As far as I can tell the AI seem harder, but that could be just because im not used to all the new units yet

Had a 3 way lan on the weekend and it was good fun, the new units and the way the teams/generals work are pretty cool

If you like generals then its worth the money

I got it for $50 from eb

I liked generals but I found the AI to be very frustrating after a short time.

Well, so far im finding the AI a lot harder, but then again - it could be that im not used to the gameplay yet. Love the new units and Love the new General Types you can be in multitplayer

More thoughts after more time with it

the networking code has been improved almost two fold.. i commend westwood for that

on the other hand.. the game still forces me to check the speeds of people's cpu's at lans before we play with them.. otherwise it can get painfully slow

45 at a store my mate found in the city.. can't remember the name

I know the feeling, I used to think Generals had the most disgraceful netcode. Then I stopped playing with ppl using 1ghz Durons :p Seems to take really beefy PCs to have a game with more then 3 or 4 ppl in it though :\ Shame, as I love the game.
