here it is again

use winroute, it is awesome and you have control over the dhcp. is easy to set up. but YOU MUST HAVE 2 NETOWKR CARDS in the server machine to do it.
to set it up first download it from www.winroute.com

install winroute and reboot the machine
once rebooted double click on the winroute icon in the systray (beside the clock, little blue circle thingy)
click ok to log in with no password
click settings > interface table
double click on the netowrk card that is connected to BPA
click on both check boxesmake sure no other interface adapter is turn ON, if so double click on it and unselect all tick boxes.
once all correct click ok

now give your other netowrk card an ip address 192.168.0.1
This is done clicking on start>settings>control panel > network and dial up connections.
right click on the netowrk card connected to the other machine then left click properties
double click on internet protocol(tcp/ip)
select "use the following ip address"
then for the ipaddress enter 192.168.0.1
for subnet use 255.255.255.0
leave the rest blank
click ok

go back to winroute
click on the button that has DHCP written in green
then select enable dhcp
click "new scope"
from = 192.168.0.10
to = 192.168.0.100
subnet = 255.255.255.0
click on default gateway and enter 192.168.0.1 into the specific value field
click on dns server and enter 192.168.0.1 in the specific value field
click ok

that is the server set up.

to set up the client, make sure it doesn't have an ipaddress specified.

and then at the command prompt in windows, get there by clicking start > run then type in cmd {press enter}

and you get to the commadn prompt,
then type ipconfig /release
then ipconfig /renew

if all correct then should say
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 1:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.10
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1

then you are set to go, don't use any proxies on the client machine or any automiatic settings just use the net as though you would on the bpa machine.

if any quireies icq me on 13822740
