Yea you poor motherf***er, we provide all those industries with the money they want by watching their ads, and even follow through by doing stuff like 'experiencing microsoft windows XPerience'

You guys are as slow as my mother.
ok.. LISTEN then!

WinXp was released a long long time ago. When it was released there was a marketing push, just like anything else. MS pimped XP out like there was no tomorrow. now for the past 6 months there has been nothing about it, because just like any product after an initial advertising campain, people buy the product and its all over.

the thing that made me post this thread was not the fact that they were pimping it, but the fact that once again, after 6 or so months they are pimping an old product. ive never seen this before and its quite weird.

I mean look, how many Matrix 2 ads to you see nowdays, how many Xbox ads do you see? you see pretty much none cus the inital push is over. Xp has to be the first product ive seen wher ethey are hardcore pimping an OLD product, and i dont get it. Could this be a sign that Longhorn is longer off than we expected ?

Well Longhorn is still a good two years off, so they've gotta flog something in the mean time.

I guees too with XP "media centre edition" and Media Player nine recently off the presses, it gives some new material for the marketers to spin with.

oh... and lest we forget, Windows 2003 Server has just come out too.

isn't it just the server edition that came out?

yeah, which makes me cringe at why they are still whoreing XP. but i guess they wouldn't market a server edition in normal tv.
I can jyst see Joe blogs with 2003 SE ringing up tech support wondering what an IP address is

Because in munich the government all changed over to linux. Workstations, servers, the lot. Microsofts sales and PR monkeys are running scared
