Im sorry about this thread, im sure this has been posted thousands of times but i need to know currently what is the best and if you would recommend it to me?

Currently im with optus bigpond (have been for 2 years, but now they impose a cap on me it makes it impossible because im OBSESSED with getting cartoons and music videos off the net) but i need to change because of the the cap and bigpond offers the same 3gig cap.

Ive heard things about whirlpool and some other services but that was quite a while ago.

Thanks for helpful responses

P.S: please dont call me a juearez monkey because i get movies

If all you are doing is sitting on kazaa, just get a 256kbps unlimited plan. ADSL is fine.

ADSL being fine really depends on who you talk to. I still hear people complaining that it isn't as consistent a service as cable, still.

If only BPA would get rid of this f***ing download cap

imo theres no one best internet provider, different people have different needs so it depends what your wanting to do with internet connection that really determines which ISP is best for you, from the looks of your first post you want adsl, i'd go with a 512k plan myself and i did.

Off Topic: imo = In My Opinion

Adsl is all good. I havent had problems for ages now. Im looking to switching to iinet or something similar cause at the moment telstra is a little expensive for what im getting.

im running on iinet now, it's good but the biggest downside ive found that is if your downloading anything at a half decent pace e.g. i dunno maybe 10-20k or more per sec it really chokes your connection so webpages and email just dribbles through.

the good outweighs the bad though i rekon.
