I was browsing the net for BF1942 mods, and i found a hack for BF1942. I thought i would just make the community aware of this problem and i have notified EA about this problem. I will not post the link for the site as it will only tempt people.

A brief outline of what it does is:

Changes skins so they glow bright colours.

Puts an arrow above people heads so they cant hide.

Aimbot

Please just be aware that this is out there.

Thanks

You morally asture TIT

HAckers CoderZ etc help sell games you ass. The flock of code inept game junkies that fight for scraps at the hackers feet go out and by the f***in games to share time with their GODS. Hackers code cracks because they can't aford them dim witt - no game developement company in their right mind can or even want to stop them. Bottom line if a game is hacked make a new one!

Cheats and the like ruin gameplay for people who want to play legitimently, and i think the 1.4 patch stops client side mods. Why make a new game when you can improve on a game.

There will always be no-talent cheats on the net.

Every game has them.

All that matters is they eventually get banned from the server and you can go back to enjoying the game the way it was meant to be played.

heh ok, Even though there are aimbots and the like, i find it funny how when you watch someone play with one, they still cant hit anything :D, strange but true.

When i used to play SOF2 online some one recorded a bloke using an AIMbot.
Every shot was a head shot and it could shoot a team of 20 ppl in 1 second flat from all over the map.

All the AIMbot user had to do was run around the map and the AIMbot did the rest.

how boring would that be?
No skill in the kill.

Its not the people who make the cheats who are the problem, its the people who use them c++ is a hard thing to learn

Games like this need PB, it's so popular and it definitly needs some form of anti-cheat software.

What are you talking about Motion?
C++ as a language isnt particularly hard.
Assembly can be tricky, and I still dont understand functional languages but once you know one 'c-like' derivative it is not much work to transpose across.

PB as a software IS a heap of crap. But as a anti-cheater tool it works... (most of the time). I wish these game coders would work something like pb into the native netplay system.
Anyways, Astaroth, c++(or c) is harder for some than others. I've seen people who get totally blown by the concept of pointers. Assembly can be tricky? Thats one hell of an understatement in my book. It all depends on who you talk to i guess...

I agree.. I wouldn't like to see BF turn into another Counterstrike for cheating script kiddies who like to run wall hacks and new patches have to come out ever weekend and run third party anti-cheat programs to keep up with it all. As if it's not enough that the BF updates are hundreds of meg already.
