I've got an Eagle (no I haven't heard of that brand either) Geforce 2 Ti 64 Mb DDR Video card with standard cooling and have decided it needs a bit more speed. I'm using powerstrip to o/clock it.

It's default engine clock is 250MHz and memory core is 400MHz. I have no way of telling the temp inside the pc so when should I stop o/clocking it?? Should I run it through 3dmark 2001se each time I change the speed and check to see that there isn't any artifacts etc. ??? If I ran it through say 3 3dmark benchmarks would it then perform alright in gaming?? Other than that, is the only way of me finding out if I've gone too far is that the computer will melt into a big pile of crap???

Clock it so high that you start getting artifacts. From there slowly take it down step by step untill you dont get artifacts, that'll be your highest stable overclock. Adding better cooling to the hard to lower the temperature will just increase that stable overclock a little bit.

try powerstrip, its a good program that allows you to tweak and modify alot of system display settings like overclocking for example :)

yucky yucky program..

i got it with my GF4 ti...

I say if you video card dosen't meet your computer gaming needs just upgrade the card.. overclocking won't signifficantly improove your gaming speeds..

I don't reccomend overclocking anything. Hardware prices are so low you can pick up faster gear rather than burn out what yu have. Besides if you go too far you can be looking at a complete MB replace $$$. Look at Tiger direct prices in the USA then compare in AUS.

Nice sig Nidz I enjoy yummy critters also!!
