I love Mechwarrior4: Mercenaries. I am a Telstra Bigpond user and they provide a site called 'Gamearena' where you can play online without it counting towards your download usage. At present they are not running a Mechwarrior server. I am trying to change this and am calling for help from any other Bigpond users out there.
Please post a message on one of the GA boards to support my request.

The silly downside to running a mech4 server is that it only runs on windows.

Plus you need the cd in the drive.

PLus it isnt an effective dedicated console, which you still have to configure stuff with, before you can even start the server. no default config file or anything.

And as for hotdamndiggetys comment about mech4 being 'crap', it's a s***load better than CS is :)

When I said no one plays that crap, i guess i put it too strongly. What i meant to say was no one plays that, and it has a very poor online community. While it is a good game, i dont think gamearena would put up a mechwarrior 4 server just because of 1 person. If you want a new game server there would have to be many people that should post here or on ausgamers like a petition. Gamearena just made a change to its servers to accomodate the users. It added more servers for the more popular games, took away some servers for the less popular games and even removed Jedi Knight 2 alltogether
