I am trying to burn an audio cd with Nero, using mp3s as tracks, but when it finishes burning, i cant seem to play it in a stereo, it tells me there is no disc in the drive...could someone help me please? is it because the cd is a Re-writeable?? I am using an Acer CRW1832A burner, and an Acer re-writeable cd. Any help is much appreciated, thanks guys :)

No idea, not having used Nero - have you tried any other burning software?

some cd players especially car cd players can't read burnt cd's if the colour underneath the cd is a light one such as the kodaks, but they'll work with a dark bluie bottom cd like the verbatim.

Could also be that the cd is a rewritable im not sure wether they work as i dont know anyone who's tried it

dude - i've never been able to burn a music cd successfully with a rewriteable cd...

normal cdr's go for about 80c so it's prolly worth you're while testing with them.

Nero rocks, but you'll soon find other programs to get you're CD's copied with better results.

I've burnt a fair few audio cd's with nero on the fly from mp3s whithout problems. Almost ALL cd players will not recognise a re-writable cd unfortunately... try a normal cd-r, and if that fails try different brands/colours etc... however, some older cd players are known not to read cd-r media. I had an old 8x cdrom drive a few years ago that didnt read cd-r, which sucked badly! :) Btw, I also have an Acer burner (4x4x32x)

I Didnt know stereo could read Mp3 format, I used WAV format and all my cd's work out fine no matter where i use them

nero (aswel as other proggys) allow the user to select .mp3 files and it does all the converting/burning and then spits out the cd ready to play in standard cd players.

Have u checked if the Disc has been closed?

I prefer to burn books.

i find an easy program to use is adaptec easy cd creator. nero is cool too but when i got it it wouldnt let me access the normal cd creation program and took me straight to nero express instead! damn annoying

cd rw discs are too thick to be read by a normal audio cd player

you must use cdr's, convert the files to wav and finalise the disc
