If you're playing it right now, and its so good, why are you wasting time on the forums? And how can you even be on the forums if you're playing it now?!?!?!?

I dont understand!!!!

I'm waiting for the actual retail game myself...I'm assuming you go the warez/ISO copy.

Hopefully you got the patch that stops your IP information etc from being sent to Lionhead...otherwise you could be in for some fun.

Well apparently what they were going to do with your IP's is report them to your ISP to find information about you so they could ban your IP permanently from multiplayer.

So even if you buy the game you won't be able to play multiplayer if you've played a Warez or ISO version.

No ISP is going to go for that - they'll just assume their usual "common carrier" position.

Geezus, how the hell do you build buildings? I get the help message about how how various amounts of building block things make different types of buildings but never anything about how to make those blocks, wtf?
Yeah good game but the learning goes on for quite a while... expect to play for a full solid day before you know most stuff. After a few hours i got my first offensive miracle :)
Yeah for the warez'ers, get the fix so EA don't ban your IP, not like they would anyway since there are quite a lot of dynamic IP modemmers, or even BPA clients out there.

if and when i do buy a game, sif i read the manual(like any1 read the q3 manual).
thats half the fun of a new game.
and id rather spend money on hardware so i can run the software

Typically I read the manual on the way home after I bought the game or after I've played it for a few hours.

and Q3 is a no brainer so I would hope you didn't have to read the manual for that....Games like Civilisation and probably B&W it would help if you read the manual.

Manuals are for wimps :) Even in civ. i never read any manual, much more fun to learn yourself.

it sucked in civ when u didn't have the manual and couldn't answer the questions and lost all ure units though...

that's when the manual was handy...

I pre-ordered my copy today. w00t!
I also have a question for you Cezar. How eell does the gesture-recognition spellcasting work? And what sort of machine do you have, how well does it run and at what detail level?

Moridin:
1. It works Ok ,Takes some getting used to but its pretty cool
2. pIII 700@900, 156MBRAM, 16MB TNT2 v770, I run in 800x600 medium detail , gets a bit chuggy in bigger levels

I suppose the gesture recognition works about as well as that graffiti thing on palm pilots. It's pretty good and you don't have to be really careful to do the squiggles.

It's not all that demanding, on a top of the line system it will run full speed at full detail. I'm not sure if you can change the game resolution (? its not in the options screen, am i missing something?) so i'm stuck at whatever the default is for max detail. Being able to zoom right out to the clouds, then back in to a single perosn is pretty neat too.

Try Looking In the Start Menu , There is "Black And White Setup" which has resolution and detail levels

Cezar has a point you little w4r3z monkeys, if you're complete newbies, f*** off and bother other people.

Only reason i leeched it is so i can get in some practice time until i can buy a copy =P

Be ashamed of yourselves, a game like black and white needs more money to grow and develop, and if you actually read the Planet Black & White site, you would know what they have in store for this awesome game =)

Quit ya bitching, leave cezar alone so i can go burn my illegitimate copy and do some monkey slapping until i can BUY MY OWN DAMN COPY!!

Yeah I know he said it's in online games, but there's nothing in "Join Online Game" except a search for games and you can only join games in it.

Stupid B&W - probably the beta version that they screwed up anyway ;)

pick up the scaffolds from the little doobie place. the more you combined the bigger the building is.

its all a rather tedious process, im still trying to justify the time ive spent playing the game allready :P

I Just Finished Having a 3 Player LAN with Klayman & Doctor. Besides the fact the the game would crash unless Doctor hosted it was ok. Only thing is we played one game that lasted 6 hours! We eventually gave up it became that tedious. Alhough it is fun for that entire 6 hours, i'm just impatient. Apart from thge lengthy games its great fun, especially watching klayman's uber Tiger shoot fireballs from its hands killing inocent villagers :)
[SFU]Cezar

The Game isn't for people that like quick action and are impatient. I noticed with my mUnKeY that if you didn't teach it properly in the beginning your f***ed from then on. Klayman ahas spent hours upon hours training his tiger (kinda like pokemon isnt it?) and it does whatever he wants minus the st00pid mistakes my munkey makes. I suppose in the retail version recieving the book would help heaps but it's still great learning it all. The statistics are amazing as it tells you (for the entire time you have been playing the game) how many objects you have picked up, how many things you have killed, how many evil acts your creature has performed etc etc. Very nice :)
My guess is alot of people out there who buy the game will restart a few times to get there creature reacting the way they wpould like it too. I'm about to start the game from scratch for the third time.

In The Statistics section the game even tells you how much code it has processed, your max fps and min fps :)

Cezar have you had any problems with it crashing on the splash screen?

All the web forums say it's from the cd protection but i have your copy and i did it correctly so what gives?
[SFU]Cezar

My Guess is , turn the detail to about medium and 640x480 , don't use the security patch , just d/c from the net when you play. That's what i do , and i used to have that problem :)

DAMN YOU PPL! My tiger still eats his (her?) own crap and is fond of starving to death. Well, that was until i got to that level where the bad god person kidnaps him.
What sort of BS was that level? I stuff up one little thing (when those wolves attack - they only killed one villager too) and the village now believes in the other god with like 1500 belief!!! that takes FOREVER to earn back. I can burn their whole village down with fireballs but it impresses them less than some wolf chomping a villager. What BS!! I don't have my creature back yet so he can't just wander around doing muscle flexes to impress them :)

I really like the fuzzy boundary thing though, how you can still do stuff in the enemy territory as long as you're REAL quick. Or long range fireball attacks are kewl (zoom right out to see the whole island then start flinging them super far):) They don't seem to do much though.

I've temporarily lost interest after that wolf thing though, FAR too harsh a penalty.
[SFU]Cezar

Yes i too felt the wrath of the wolf attack , so i started again , 89393474 belief is impossible
