I went through the same s*** last year man, and asking many people most said the same thing: get an IT degree then get a job with a company that pays for your CNNP, or whatever they call it now. Im not sure if its the best way to go, buts that what i was told.

BTW, is it true that Cisco is now the richest company in the world? remember seeing it somewhere, just cant remember where

im thinking of doing that course at comtech, that 6mnth course then finish the degree off while you work in the IT industry.

3 1/2 years to get MCP, MCSE, degree in IT and that A+ tech thing. Not bad considering that 3 of those years counts as experience.

I have a look in the papaer and every add says "you must have.... years experience in...."
and they do finance:P

Cyph, I do hope you meant CCNA :) CCNE is way too uber hardcore, plus you cant do it first up, you need to do CCNA and a few other things first :P

Loan! Which Bank? :D

3 grand in 6 months aint that bad for what it is.. Depends how bad you want it. They suggest that you already be working in the industry before (and during) the course, so they prolly assume you have a cash flow and therefore loan approved.

Meh, MC's of the same standard are at least that amount..

cisco were the biggest company in the world for all of 1 day or so last year. in the last few months hundreds of billions have been wiped of cisco on either the nyse or nasdaq (im not sure which one).
now cisco arent even in the top ten companies in the world (market capitilisation wise)

if you want reliability and opportunity go with the mcse. its not the flashiest degree, it might not be the most c00l or l33t degree. w33n|3 p33n|3 thyber nerds might knock but at the end of the day an mcse gives you the most, and widest, opportunities.
