If someone could tell me:

a) Exactly what this is
b) Exactly how I can cause mischeif with it

I would be most appreciative.

...tf??. .
looks like some sorta radio meter thingy. It's got speaker thingies (top and bottom), what looks like an aerial on the side, some sorta meter in the middle, and some funny dials and knobs on the top to play with.
whatever it is, I'm sure you could find something mischievous to do with it maxe =D

Maybe some full old school walkie-talkie? It's hard to tell exactly how big it is in that picture.
You can get up to all kinds of michief with walkie-talkies. . .

It actually looks like its meant to be a reciever of some sort. For either long distances or somewhere, where its noisy like on a farm or something. Look it up maybe?

What that is is like a big transmitter thing that smaller walkie-talkie type radios use to relay their signal.

maxe: it depends what frequency it runs at. ie what channel it's set to. Most likely no one in there will hear you.

f***! thats a lot of power for a handheld! Even an HF handheld

Looks to me like an AM CB, that operates around the 26-27MHz range. On a good day in spring, youll be able to hear the yanks voices booming in. AM CB is only around now because the people that are too cheap for ham licenses are using them with the skip to talk to people on the other side of the continent and sometimes, the other side of the pacific. Mostly now its full of indonesioan fishing boats tho :/

u sure its 300W ?

am cb is 4watt, cb sideband is 12watt, so 300W is huge (and illegal in au).
i remember using a 500w amp on top of mt gravatt one night, wiped out most of brisbanes cb transmissions when i was broadcasting, that was a LONG time ago
