Hey Guys.
I find when i have a disc in the rom and i click on my computer it takes longer then normal to load up. anyway of a speed up? apart from taking out the disc :D

hmm anyway to make it remember there is a cd in there and only make it load when i click on it :P

Its probably checking to see if a bootable CD is in your drive...

If you want, you can disable this by going into your BIOS and modifing your boot order.

Hope this helps.

wtf does your boot loading options in the bios have to do with my computer reading the cd??

Get a faster cdrom drive, there is no way to make it remember the cd is there, cause its refreshing everytime.

just avoid loading up My Computer and using the drop down list when searching or moving through folders/HDD's.

nah, B@ssM@n (damn thats annoying to type) is right, if you leave it outta the bios it'll completely bypass it after doing the IDE detection, which isn't affected by having a cd in there

haha bios hahah whatever

right click my computer -> manage -> device manager

click where it says cd rom drives and select ur cd drive, right click it and hit disable. voila.

now, that is how u do it on win2k, if ur not using win2k tough s*** for not saying what u are using so f*** off.
