GOOD!!!
I just took the steps of removing IE from my wretched machine, and installed mozilla (www.mozilla.org). Seems very fast so far and quite reliable! Any comments/gripes? |

It doesn't have middle mouse button scrolling like IE does (ie, if you don't have a scroll wheel, you can just hold down middle mouse button and move up/down with that, which is leet).
Renders some things differently to IE, which I haven't figured out. For example, QGL looks a little diff in IE vs Mozilla. Could just be an HTML issue though. Has lame non-movable toolbars. KB shortcut to open link is stupid (CTRL-shift-L vs CTRL-O, wtf) Doesn't open in new window when shift-click a link (might be configurable?) Aside from that, it ain't too bad. |

forgot - it doesn't inherit some windows properties, so has (for eg) stupid sized scrollbar

Pity everything that is non-IE doesn't support simple HTML.

trog - Most of that stuff is configurable, check around in prefs.
Personally, I hate the stupid click-then-drag mousescrolling in IE - why bother using it when you've got a mousewheel? The MMB is much better suited to opening multiple tabs. Also, Mozilla is completely HTML 4 compliant, so if something looks screwed in Mozilla only, it's an IE bug :) Also, disallowing unrequested popups nullifies any other complaints :) |

Doesn't open in new window when shift-click a link (might be configurable?) Sorry, didn't read this before. Middle mouse button. Opens in new tab. Never have to have 10 windows open ever again. |

for some reason my middle mouse button is like the "back" button.
second the tabs concept in mozilla rocks heaps. also it is a lot more stable than ns 6.2. i haven't used IE in over a year at home (although I gotta use it at work) |

bah u all suck, use the winamp mini browser, it's the best. ha
there should be one page that lists every single web browser ever made, and when new ones are created, they go in and add theirs to that site. The site can have reviews, security patches and all sorts of things. That way there'd be one central place to go for all ur browser needs, rather than visiting the site for each individual browser. |

Ok, I'm gonna give this Mozilla thing a new go. IE has totally bit the bucket on my system and now isn't opening when I click on a link from my email or IRC, and I don't feel like reinstalling Windows until I decide if I'm going to take a chance and run Linux for a few months (gasp).
Here's another sucky thing - using the scrollbars on most webpages makes my Winamp skip. Wodup with THAT? |

in the unlikely event spray checks this thread again - you're right, mozilla is broken again, but _only_ for this forum, which is really odd. I can log in at ausforums.com and post to any forum _except_ this one. I'm wondering if there is something hardcoded specifically for this forum.
