Topic: Asheron's Call subscription

Well this post will probably get sunk to the bottom pretty quick (seeing as how its useful :P), but does anyone have an asheron's call subscription they're not using anymore? I have a cd and subscription, and my flatmate wants to get into it as well, but buying another cd just to get a valid subscription key is pandering a little too much to Microsoft's money making schemes for my liking. So if anyone has an existing subscription they dont use, and wouldn't mind transferring it over to me, let me know.

I've got one khel, but i'm really undecided wether to play AC again or not.

I love what they've done, except some aspects of the game are f***ing rediculous.

EG Town Names----\
NPC Names--------/ Who's f***ing expected to remember Allah 'ibn Jahmed suq Allah to be the potion vendor ffs

Spell research =/
Portal Locations

Etc etc.

What server do you play on khel? it would be great to run around with someone who knows a lot about the game to teach me and stuff. I know Everquest inside and out but that game so seriously s***s me =/

So yeah, what server do you play on and as who? I should renew my subscription and become your vassal so i'll finally have a new rpg to play.

I play on Thistledown. I hadn't played it for a few months, but now I'm getting back into it. Spell research can be a bit of a pain, but its actually pretty ordered, and once you've figured out the general pattern for a set of spells, its not that hard to research them. Plus you can download a program called Splitpea to help with the spell research and tell you what tapers you need to add for the higher level spells.

You can also get a program called ACTrack which has a map of the world and hooks into the game and tracks where you are. It also contains pretty much every dungeon or point of interest in the game and can tell you the best route to get to anywhere from your curent location.

My current character is a level 13 Mage with Life, War and Creature enchantment magic. I was considering starting a big, strong, dumb fighter character as well, just so I've got that option to come online and beat things up if throwing magic around gets tiresome :)

It'd be kewl if you want to join up with me online, the main reason I'm trying to get my flatmate on there is cause I dont know anyone else who plays, so it would be kewl. :)

Speaking of long ass NPC names though, my first character who was a pure war mage was named Alhad ibn Fahdlan :) was fun when people were trying to type that to chat to me :) hehe

hahhaha

my point exactly, who remembers all that s*** =)

I've got a lev 10 (or 15?) blademaster in full green mire yoroi armor and a couple elemental blades on my account.

only problem he's hiding on leafcull... but i haven't played for ages so he's probably dead

... ok just organised by mail to have my account reactivated, if i'm not able to find your ICQ, mine's 6156626

I'll probably just make a TANK or an Enchanter (Creature and Item Enchantment)

Maybe if i play around with points enough i can get my tank to learn life magic and i end up with a Paladin =)
