Well after watching someone who had never read this forum before flick through the posts I was almost disgraced. Not only did he not have a clue what was going on but he was appalled at the mass amounts of gratuitous swearing that goes on.

I think it is about time we all got a little older, a little wiser and cut out the obscenities. It is not particularly tasteful and it makes most people look like idiots.

How many of you right now are gonna post your replies to this screeching every nasty word you can think of over and over again in a poor attempt to be funny.

It reflects badly on QGL and there is a lot of younger people who reads the site.

If you really think about it, its really not needed at all PLUS you start having problems when you start swearing in normal conversations and you dont even realise it.

Being disqualified for swearing is a bad idea.
Sure, I agree, if you are abusing the other team or players, then fine, disqualify all you like.
But, it's like a natural reaction for me when I die is to hit talk and say 'f***!' or something.

We aren't NAZI's there still is freedom of speach in this country I dont think there is really a need to go too far with this as it will probably make them problem worse. I just want people to read their posts before they confirm them and make sure they dont contain sensitive material.

ive only been using the forum for a little while a you can see and most of the stuff i see here is just ppl publicly humiliating/harassing others.

the only "public humiliation" occured when that image comp was going on, and all participants knew they would have image edits posted of them, so thats ok.

you cant "publicly humiliate" someone by calling them a faget because:

1) Its just an internet messageboard, and few ppl know who you actually are
and
2) ppl see the language and insults so much they dont mean anything anymore.

To new users, it may be offensive, but they'll get over it.

It means new users will never come back! and I think i know more than 90 percent of the people on here personally

the world that we live in is a very nasty place.

if you ask me, there is no point trying to stop kids from swearing or trying to control what they see on teev, or on the internet.

some day or another they will be introduced to profanity, sex, drugs, violence and so on and so forth.

and how dare other ppl such as f*** head sensors for example try to stop YOU from reading or watching something that you might enjoy. These ppl are just self-centred twats trying to FORCE they're point of view upon you.

a lot of what young kids see nowadays is from the teev or the net. as far as i'm conserned the media is a nessasary evil.

So my position on all of this, is f*** IT.

Hehe I have no problem with Hugh in real life he is a good bloke. We both act like a bunch of dicks online and on CS servers occasionally its just I have more power on one :) But when it comes down to it CS is a good place to vent. You get to run around killing things and shoot guns.

Personally, I think the word "f***" is very usefull, and it can be used in almost all circumstances. If anyone has a major issue with it, I'm sorry to break this to you, but the whole world is evil and swearing is the least of our worries.

However, I will tone down on my swearing because I respect QGL and the decisions of the Admins - NOT because some f***WIT moron is offended by it.
