I will share with you an account of the fateful day I got my most amazing transfer rate ever...

'Twas a sunny day in the summer of '99 and I decided to download a game patch from a place called www.qgl.org. As soon as I clicked 'save' I was agog with the blistering speed my OEM 56k modem was achieving.

A massive 7k was being downloaded every second!

Something which I previously thought impossible on my Powerup Unlimited plan.

I will never forget that day. I still hold hope to the thought of my BPA connection reaching the same heights.

my BPA hit 118k/sec briefly, prolly an error.

But when its quick, it hovers around 64k/sec, which is good enough for me.

pwhoar that means an optus@home user can breach their AUP in just over 12 minutes

on bpa it would take over 4 hours

Hey Tiapan.
I saw you use an optus USB 10/100 ethernet adapter last QGL...
Get rid of it and use an internal network card, try to find the fastest card possible...
The USB side of your adaptor slows down your transfer rate.. :)
