Yeah I don't think enough people have suggested it, so I'll just add that I'd use the find/replace dialog.

I think I heard somewhere that CTRL+H was really good for this kind of thing.
Might be called 'Find and replace' or something.

Pretty sure you should use this little known thing called find and replace, Don't know if anyone's mentioned that yet.

I would suggest going through the document and removing all the -'s manually one by one.

ah, 42120 items replaced

and as to why they're there, maybe cause its an ebook i found in *.lit format and i had to convert it or download a reader.

$line =~ s/-//g;

or

str_replace("-","", $line);

or
:%s/-//g

or

sed 's/-//g'

All of which are much faster and easier than find and replace.

Send the file to the chinese sweatshops and pay them 50c/hr to re-type the document.

I think the goal is retype, not re-type.

I don't think find and replace is a good idea, you have to figure out why the document got like that.

nah its alright thermite, i think it might have some copyright issues.

whats awesome though, is that you have one thousand three hundred and thirty seven skillz. It must have taken a while to learn that many
