I remember talking about the topic of public speaking. It went down well. Everyone can relate and it makes a good ice breaker in itself.

Otherwise, choose something you are passionate about, so you can be emotive and honest.

You can also choose something possibly in the backs of peoples' minds; gun control, police brutality, revenue raising, school systems, etc, etc.

Your audience is an important factor, accommodate them.

I would talk about anthropomorphism coming into reality with more people buying stupid things for their pets. It leaves a huge market for inventing dumb things for animals e.g. a dog phone, books for cats, ferret wheelchairs etc.

This is the last step in a very weird selection process for a senior position at a financial institution I applied for a while back.

If you talk about the different regions and how each region has its own unique characteristics, the legislation to protect the "Scotch" label etc, you could *EASILY* blow through 15 minutes. Plus, you could even toss in something about how Bonnie Prince Charlie's favourite breakfast consisted of a pottage of oats (kinda like rolled oats), clotted cream and Drambuie (a scotch liqueur). Finish with, "sure beats Weetbix for breakfast, doesn't it?".

no, I'm the last candidate left and this is the final 'hoop'.

I think its a bit dumb that I have to do it, as my background pretty much confirms that presentations are a skill I have and it would have been obvious in the million interviews so far.
