Just had it pass over Bulimba. Unplugged everything and sat in the lounge room playing spirit tracks.
A number of strikes hit the houses around us, but we were spared. The dog was freaking out, cowering down next to the couch with her head on my legs.

man there are some downers on the roads atm, almost got smashed so many times by people zooming around, are they in f***ing apocalypse mode or something

According to BOM I just got 42mm of rain in about 30 mins. Bit of hail, lots of wind and rain. Neighbour's medium sized tree snapped.

Well, theoretically I know it works. As in, I plumbed it. I plumbed the overflow straight into the storm water. However, it has not yet rained enough to fill my modest 5kL tank.

yeah, i got 8 real close lightning strikes around my hose in the space of about 2 min, most of which must of been only 2 houses away. its bad when your brain notice the noise before the flash and things start falling off shelves from the noise.

We had 44's rolling and bouncing around like tumble weed here. Also Krudds insulation ended up from the carport to the back fence (60m).

I remember one insane rainy day when i was fixing cabs we had the old 44's blowing about everywhere

We had powerlines down over the road just before our Estate, stuck for about 3 hours.
Power just came back on so I rushed to qgl to let you all know!

Unfortunately it blew one of my sheds over to the other side of the yard smashing the clothes line on the way, and yet the tables and chairs right beside it haven't even moved. Not even the tarp lying over our pool table which is outside on the patio has moved.
