all iphone jokes aside, you can at least track your iphone via gps and when the cops turn up at the thiefs home have the phone start ringing and display a you busted message on the screen.

Haha. Reminds me of the time someone hit my car while I was shopping. Came out to a dent in the rear quarter. Went home, rang the cops and gave em the story and the copper was like, "I'm sorry about your car, but what do you want me to do about it exactly?"

Also, don't mind Nokias. Too many strong opinions ITT - recognise that diff phones suit diff peeps already you drongos.

Spooky, that musta been some party! Heh, I had my xmas party last week, always good fun.

Why would you need the police to do it? Track it and go knock on the door of the house it's sitting in.

called both taxi mobs today, no bb curves handed in;

you are probably right hardware, battery is dead and the phone is locked, so whoever has it coudlnt get in touch with me now if they wanted to (unless they have a phone charger)

ill try em again on wednsday, but yar, its pretty much looking like my (work) phone and sim card are gone

it's a shame they're not a very good phone otherwise more people might have them and thus more people might have a charger for them
if that were the case they might be able to turn it on and leave it on, wait for your call etc

poor spooky ;~(

My ex-mrs stupidly put her mobile on top of the car once..

Needless to say, we never got it back.

I tried ringing, someone answered, I explained that there was no credit on the phone, it was of no use to them and that it had photos/videos of my daughter which COULD NOT BE REPLACED.

Well, this was all a great big joke to them.

Otherwise,

www.yougetitback.com

My mates just started a job at bridgestone.

They've given him like a little metal tag with a code engraved into it (like video ezy tags) if you find it, you ring up or goto website and quote the number for the thing you've found and you are rewarded!!!!

Mobile devices, keys, laptops etc

That imho is a great idea, all businesses should do it I guess.

I mean, I have a masterkey.... for everything at my work and no tag for me!

But yeah, cops are crap, won't help you when you want it and want to screw you over every chance they have.

You won't get it back :(

thats the most frustrating thing, even if it still had battery, unless im calling, whoever has my phone has no way of getting it back to me (coz its locked)

just makes it so much harder

I lost my phone at a club and rang it the next day
"hello"
"hi, that's my phone"
"yeah"
"can I have it back?"
"no"
"why?"
"Well theres credit left" *click*

not to worry, I just did the same s*** to someone else
