Looks like Avenue Q is headed to Brisbane in 2010, with shows running from Feb 20 to March 7th at the Playhouse Theatre QPAC. There's earlybird pricing up at the moment with most tickets at $54.90 or $64.90 for the Saturday night shows.

That's quite expensive for a show I'm not sure is good enough.

I am building my own muppet at the moment, so I feel slightly compelled to go, but I am really not interested in Avenue Q puppets. I've watched the show on video and I find it weird - are you meant to watch the puppet or the puppeteer? They're both acting.

Avenue Q was absolutely brilliant, and i'm not even a musicals/theatre kind of person.

I saw it when it was in Melbourne, but went with seriously low expectations due to having seen and memorized the Broadway version. It far exceeded by best expectations and was every bit worth the money spent on the ticket. Go see it.

i went to the opera at qpac during the week to see rigalleto. Was really spectacular.

Theatre in brisbane is so under rated.

Saw it in Canberra on Wednesday night. It is weird at first with the puppeteer completely visible, but you do adjust to it and a number of the songs are genuinely very funny. Its a unique experience, definitely worth taking a chance on if you are undecided.

Saw it in London, had a few lols. I guess I would recommend it.
