Evangelical actor Kirk Cameron is on a serious crusade against Charles Darwin connecting the scientist's most famous and significant work to Adolf Hitler.

To commemorate the upcoming 150th anniversary of Darwin's "Origin of Species" -- Kirk has released a 6-minute long video on his evangelical website bashing Darwin's book along with C.D.'s famous theory of evolution.

In the video attack -- which Kirk made to promote the release of a reworked, creationist edition of "Origin of Species" -- Kirk essentially calls Darwin a racist, a woman-hater and claims Darwin's theory has an "undeniable connection" with Hitler.

But it gets better -- Kirk claims he will be embarking on a college tour, in the hopes of infiltrating the minds of America's future "lawyers, doctors and politicians."

To quote Kirk, "These students aren't stupid."

He pretty much crafted his own religion intertwining nationalism into it. He replaced many Christian holidays with made up ones celebrating quite odd or nationalistic things.

The only reason he started out supporting the Christian churches in Germany was because he wanted everyones ear. Kind of like how the US election hopefuls always portray a very strong Christian heritage if they want to get anywhere even if it's not true.

I didn't get the impression that it was a completely different book. They're taking advantage of the fact that the copyright has expired to basically reprint the original text, and put in a (presumably big) introduction laying out that it's all a bunch of crap because of this and that reason.

I wonder how long it would take the fundies to scream if someone went out and annotated the bible with all the places containing outdated bunk.
