For people keen to grab a copy of Batman Arkham Asylum early (and really, who isn't!), some stores have imported copies already for sale (because its already out in the US and Europe). Some Gametraders stores have it, and Dungeon Crawl down here in Melbourne is selling PS3 and 360 copies (its the PAL 360 copy so it works fine here).

Just a heads up for anyone who might want to get their hands on some quality weekend entertainment. I grabbed my copy this afternoon, unfortunately, haven't had a chance to play it yet cos I got home at 3am, but I know where my day tomorrow is going to go!

speaking of importing from the UK, this ebay store has a lot of cheap stuff, I picked up ghostbusters on 360 for AU$67 delivered, only took a week to get here.

what's the deal with all the PC hate.

I think the disadvantage for PCs is there is no one to represent PCs as a whole in these deals? It's probably a bunch of little companies that distribute for PC vs Microsoft vs Sony.

Yes I have, my boss from work has as well. Gets here in a week. All UK pal games work on aussie consoles and don't let anybody tell you otherwise cause they'd be fully of s***.

Also i lied about 67 AUD, since only UK shipping is free, anything outside of the UK is ONE WHOLE EXTRA POUND! so add another $2 or so shipping fee. Excellent service if you ask me.

I got it for 360 and now it looks like my 360 is f***ed, so I haven't been able to play it past the intro :(

No Red Ring of Death, but the game crashed for me at the end of the intro, then crashed again on the title screen when I restarted my 360, and then just before it crashed while sitting on the dash. So its not looking good.

How about i test the game for ya on my console, if it still works i get to keep it until you get your console fixed ;)

Yeah, I didn't want the PS3 version though, cos I like xbox achievements :(

Anyway, did the thing where I wrapped my xbox in towels and let it run for a bit and its fixed for the moment :P And yeah, the game f***ing rocks, I can't help but laugh every time the goons start freaking out and begging not to be killed and shooting at random sounds or screaming "WHAT ARE YOU?!?!"

I downloaded the very short demo last night and gave it ago.

Yeah it had some nice game play elements but i'm not sure about the game's replay value. I mean the demo was almost 2 gig and it last about 5 minutes or something? Makes you wonder how many hours you'll be able to get out of the story mode. Not sure what the deal is there with challenge mode..

they have a record book solely for computers and games etc

it'll be interesting to see how large the full game install is and how long the game plays for.

Just read the IGN review and it gives it about 12 hours for the story mode, including item collection/exploration etc.

Apparently Challenge mode will include the same areas as the story mode but it'll be more about the different ways you could take out the bad guys etc..

Even though the single player sounds very immersive (y is the dictionary picking up this word as a spelling mistake?) I think i'll be waiting before i shell out any sort of cash for it.

Final fight was a bit of a let down.

I can't solve any of those Riddles where you see question marks on stuff, and you can only see them in detective mode, but whenever I try and capture it it just says "solution partially found" or something like that. Wtf are you meant to do?

Googled it and someone mentioned that there has to be a dot somewhere that you line up to make a question mark.
