I've only recently got this game, and have not yet installed any patch. Can I go straight to the latest patch, or like most games, do I have to install all the old patches first?

well since you're going to need it either way why not just download it and see if it works.

Wow, that's homo. With cod4 I just get the 1.6 patch & then the 1.6 -> 1.7 patch, no need to download all of them for cod4, I hope they do the same with modern warfare 2 because having to install 20 patches one after the other is something best left to s***ty update systems like windows update.

Funnily enough I did the first update on COD4 a couple of years ago, when it came out, and couldn't find any servers on line. Re -installed the original, and never updated since, but still find heaps of servers.
