Can you barter what you get in the plan? I am considering getting the 8gig Iphone for 59 a month, but i was hoping to score free texts with it :D. Wondering if anyone has done it or if it can be done?

I have been with the one provider, and had 4 different phones until the end of each contract. Each one I bartered for to get certain things in the plan, or the handset for free. When it came to the end of my last contract, I tried bargaining with Optus, saying how I have been a loyal customer for 8 years and yudda yudda yudda. The guy said something like, "Sorry, but we have been told from the top to make absolutely no deals with the iPhone." After a little more pushing and prodding, I got the first two months for free (but still had to pay for the handset).

Btw, free texts? Are you a 16 year old girl? A $49 "cap" plan sees me through each month... I feel like I use texts a lot.

We need to start treating mobile phone users like smokers.
Make them take calls outside buildings.

Landline phones dont leak RADIATION

Guess what s***head, YOU leak radiation!

And so does the computer sitting beside you, the monitor in front of you, the wires running through your house to power everything. You've probably absorbed more radiation from TV's in your life than you have from mobile phones.

I can't understand why you would ever use more than the $300 or $350 worth of calls/texts on a typical $50 cap. I manage three senior men's soccer teams and use floAt's Mobile Agent to SMS every player (60 players) on a regular basis - and I still don't get anywhere near $300.
