Topic: Books Encourage Serial Killers

ABC have this brief story about an Iranian woman who turned into a serial killer and was 'inspired' by Agatha Christie novels:
Just like Agatha Christie's villains she made careful plans to conceal her crimes.

The woman targeted middle aged or elderly women at shrines where they were praying.

After offering them lifts she gave them fruit juice spiked with anaesthetic, then strangled the victims and sold their jewellery and other possessions.
As a result of this heinous crime, I propose that all books be rated by the OFLC. These murder trainers and serial killer incubators are just a ticking time bomb waiting to go off.

(You should see some of the s*** in the book I heard about called the Bible! All sorts of killing and pillaging and s***. Last thing we need is people acting like some of the characters in that.)

I've always thought it would be cool to plan out all these awesome crimes etc - but I knew I wouldn't fall into the obvious traps the criminal characters would, because clearly I'm smarter.

..

Maybe they should just ban crime novels?

Education also encourages literacy, leading to both books and video game, it's a two-for! BAN EDUCATION!

Women are always reading nonsense and allowing it to take over their lives completely.

At least when this happens to a guy, they wind up living in an apartment that looks like the Enterprise or something cool like that.

I'm surprised no one has compared this to the "Computer games turn people into taking guns to schools and shooting up 100 of their classmates" debate.

The torah is the first 5 books in the old testament, and yes it is in the bible.

Although a lot of christian publishers are making bibles with the old testament omitted! I guess, because it doesn't star Jesus as the main character.

For alot of Christianity groups these days the old testament isn't valid.

It's the "prequel trilogy" of Christianity.

ahahaha lets make Bible: TNG and then a few years later we can get JJ Abrams to make a movie just called "The Bible" which uses Time Travel to negate the entire history of religion and uses younger sexier versions of all the characters, except the old Jesus who has a cameo as his future self.

A+ troll thread.

Also, the main argument between the games vs. books debate is that games are an interactive media.

But yeah, as someone points out, books are rated by the OFLC. American Psycho is plastic wrapped with a big R rating.
