I want to get a new kitchen in my apartment cause the current on is s***. And i want it to be the s***. Anyone here had a new kitchen put in and can recommend anyone or provide any useful insights into the process? Rough idea of price would be good too... I heard 5-10k? Bonus question: also looking for a pest guy and I am not talking about Faceman. |

5-10k would be an average housing estate type kitchen. If you want "the s***" you'll want to atleast double it.

get a part time job for a plumbing place and reap the benefit of staff discount
or go to a plumbing distribution warehouse and ask for a return, like a sink which has a scratch, but the scratch is where you drill the hole to put the mixer but a customer returned it because they are retarded etc |

We did a new kitchen last year, also from Kitchen Gallery at Salsbury.
Ours was about 15k including electrical, plumbing (just disconnect/reconnect) and new stove. 5k will get you jack, you'll be looking at least 10k. http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/2477/569q.jpg http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/948/570c.jpg http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/8847/571w.jpg As you can see, our kitchen isn't what you would call 'big'. There is an island type bench in the foreground with some big arse drawers that you can't really see in the pics. It all adds up pretty quick. last edited by mission at 21:29:42 19/May/09 last edited by mission at 21:31:08 19/May/09 |

whatever you do, stay away from Kitchen Connection. Also insist on a HIA contract.

My kitchen window is in such a retarded spot, you can't build cabinets on 2 of the kitchen walls. Maybe a narrow wire rack or something, but that's it.
Also, is there such a thing as a rangehood that doesn't have an exhaust to the outside? |

Yes thermite, like in my pic.
Recirculating or something, I think you just need to clean the filters more regularly. But if you want something that isn't built into cupboards, I dunno. |
