From the Somebody think of the Children blog, Coke have wussed out of showing a cool new ad on the air after some whiny complaints from people with too much spare time:

Aussie media blog Mumbrella writes that the Australian Family Association has labeled the ad sexist and that the Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) has received 45 complaints about it. That’s a pretty high number compared to the usual one or two received by at ASB (A.M.I ads the exception).

Now if only they'd pussy out of making Coke Zero.

Lame ad. I'm firmly against political correctness, but getting that ad banned was no loss... it didn't even get a smile out of me.

edit: compare it to the usual drive that you get from big companies these days. Most coke ads make me want to STOP drinking coke, they're so f***ing pathetic. KFC ads are such a joke it's not even funny; I intentionally don't eat there because I don't want them to think they're working on anyone

I like Diet Coke with a meal.

My father keeps drinking Diet Coke but keeps puting on weight.

I'll list some of them for you:
1) Needed more dragons.

Every time it comes on I want to punch the guy who has that ringtone, if anyone I know ever has that as their ringtone I promise I will punch them in the face for being such a huge f*****.

I cant remember exactly what kind of isomer it is, but an isomer of sucrose cant be metabolised by whichever enzyme it is we use to break down sucrose. This means that you just get rid of it like any waste. The cool thing is that it tastes exactly the same. So theoretically, you could have proper sugar food without actually making you a fatty... foods of the future :P (since artificial sweetner is s*** and this occurs naturally but mixed with normal instead of just that kind of isomer)

I cant drink Australian coke, it tastes f***ing foul. When I went to japan last year I started drinking coke again cause it was pretty nice and when I got back to aus I tried it again and couldnt stand it so hooray for aussie coke being s*** and me not wanting to drink it.

Soda water is the king of drinks, its like water but even more refreshing :O

Australia uses cane sugar, america uses high fructose corn syrup. Whatever japan uses, its less sweet. Most likely its just less cane sugar.

Countries do use different amounts of sugar in their coke, according to multiple internet sources so its not a mystery why its the case, its just retarded because it tastes like crap here.

the amounts of articifical sweetener required for carcinogenic effects are not generally incurred in even extreme levels of consumption, so no.

coke is made locally all over the place, even differences in the local water change the taste.

No they actually have different formulas for different countries/regions.

yeh coke tastes WAY different everywhere you go. In the US I find it sweeter (which is saying a lot). In Greece it tasted like s***. Most other places its still pretty good but there's subtle differences in it. If you don't drink s***loads of coke you prolly won't notice though.
