Koopz was nice enough to give me a mobile phone the other day so I went and got myself a Telstra $30 starter kit. I had a look through all the crap in the phone and there is a stack of wallpapers ect that I just want to ditch. However all that crap is locked.
Anyone know how to bypass the locks and delete that s***? Thanks |

Well Spook I like to have things neat and tidy and I would like to have those folders less cluttered with crap not to mention every last one of those files is s***. The bulk of it is just telstra logo's and the like and I kind of object to them having that kind of crap on my phone. I know it sounds a little anal but I liek my things to be organized my way.
nf is that a pain in the ass for someone that knows what they are doing or for pretty much any average Joe? |

Theres software to do it, its a bit of a f*** around though. This isn't always true. The software I've got for my nokia was piss easy to use, the software for my motorola requires a bit more dicking about though. I've got to install some weird drivers and "dodgy internet software" (it's not really dodgy) but once it's installed I can just navigate around like in windows and delete anything off my phone, including s*** I shouldn't. The first thing I did was delete all the wallpapers & stupid videos they put on it and optus branding. It wasn't an optus phone, nor was it locked to optus so I don't know why all the logos on it were plastered with optus stuff. What kind of phone do you have? last edited by whoop at 22:04:19 15/Apr/09 |

Mines a Samsung SGH-Z510
I got myself some software the oher day so I can screw around with the phone via blue tooth from my laptop. It's nice and handy but it doesn't allow me to delete all that s*** Telstra has on it sadly. |

Never touched one of them but this doesn't look too promising.
relevant bits: OK first of, no you can't delete the games as these are inbedded in the software. As for the pictures and music, if it says its locked you just need to unlock it then delete it. Unlocking can be found in the same menu as the delete so should be easily done. |
