Just got a iPhone. I can't get the facebook app to work has anyone had this problem? Facebook works in the browser fine but the app just will not log in.

Have you downloaded any other apps that use the Internet and do they work?
Are you on the 2.2 firmware, the latest facebook app was released much after 2.0 firmware so that may be the problem. |

Works fine here on 2.1 firmware. Is it just facebook? Have you tried over wifi instead of relying on 3G or EDGE coverage?

Yea I have other apps that work fine it's only the facebook one that will not log in. It did a firmware update when I connected it to iTunes

I find sometimes before I connect to facebook I need to open safari so it triggers my internet connect

sounds like a pebkac problem... you should Google it find out how to fix it.
