Hey Guys,

Most of you know of the Stephanie Meyer series by now, those who dont will know the movie released today.

Anyway, just giving a round of applause, I loved the series, I read all 4 of the books in under a week, they are:

Twilight
New Moon
Eclipse
Breaking Dawn

So, if youre looking for something to get your teeth into (pun intented) over the break, then pick these up! For those who are keen they have been on sale at Big W for under $20.00.

Happy reading!

because I am an Internet hero, for those like me that have no idea what it's about, here's what wikipedia says:
Twilight is a series of four vampire-based fantasy/romance novels by the American author Stephenie Meyer. It follows the adventures of Isabella "Bella" Swan, a teenager who moves to Forks, Washington, and finds her life turned upside-down when she falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen.

The series is told primarily from Bella's point of view, with the epilogue of Eclipse and a portion of Breaking Dawn being told from the viewpoint of character Jacob Black. Midnight Sun, if published, will be a retelling of the first book, Twilight, from Edward Cullen's point of view.

I loved the books, but I can't see them appealing to most people on here..

Also, the movie isn't very good compared to the books, I saw it a few weeks back. This is probably due to the author taking the first offer of a movie and ending up with a seriously low budget. That said, the two main characters acted it brilliantly, I really enjoyed their interaction.

Pffft, the only series with Vampire loving you need to read/watch is Buffy and Angle.

A Vampire Slayer that falls in love with a vampire. What more do you need?

I'm going to see it in gold class tonite with work. Not my choice, would have rather seen Australia so I have low expectations for it and hopefully it will be half decent.

Do we really? Do most people really know about this? Cos I'd never heard of them before, I had no idea the movie was even based on a book, I thought it was just some derivative emo vampire junk, and a lot of other people I've talked to had no idea it was a book either. Even some of the people at work who want to see it, had no idea it was a book.

Only thing I know about the book or movie is that triple J assures me it's not worth watching the movie.

Methinks they're novels written for 16 year old girls.

as much as this may e-masculate me, GP passed them off to me when she was finished and i haven't been able to put them down. i even read them during my 40 minute break from my incredibly manly job of building steel structures.
