I'm thinking about upgrading my ps3 hdd, i've been reading around google to see what the deal is.
Has anyone done this to thiers yet? any problems, brands to stay away from etc? So far i've found out it doesnt void the warranty and it needs to be 2.5" 5400rpm laptop hdd. Apparently the 7200rpm ones overheat some ps3 because the default hdd in the ps3 runs at 5400rpm. |

Yeah, its an extremely easy and straight forward swap which doesn't require any skill at all. Heaps of how-to guides on the net.
EDIT: Actually the Australian playstation site has it's own guide here last edited by Resonate at 23:17:08 29/Nov/08 |

so i can stick a 500gb in their and have no problems?
I'm just wondering if they are like computers and have a max hdd space limit. It would be s*** to buy a 500gb and it only read 300 or something |
