I searched for 'rFactor' but the only response was locked and I know some of you guys with Logitech G-25s play this game so...

A demo of rFactor came with my PC. I bought an internet license last week. I have downloaded v 1255 and installed it. But it won't open/launch when at the final screen when its asks "Create Desktop icon" + "Launch rFactor".

I have tried installing it over the top of the CD demo, and also uninstalling CD version and doing a clean install of v1255. But both ways it simply freezes comp when I launch rFactor upon completing installation.

This morning I wasted another gig downloading 1255 from a mirror (previously I downloaded as a torrent). Please can you help me out here? Am I missing something? Do I have to use on of my 5 allowable license renewals every time I install the latest version? Here is the email they sent:

Thank you for your purchase of rFactor.
You have purchased an *electronic* copy and now have FULL access
to the product. No CD-ROM will be shipped since it is not required.

The license you have purchased is only valid for your computer. In the
event of a license loss, a change in your computer's configuration or if
you wish to install the software on additional computers, you will have
to RENEW your license by providing us with your:

ACTIVATION CODE: xyz
You have the right to acquire 5 RENEWALS without charge.

To renew your license, simply you must reinstall the original program
you were using. You can always get a free download here:
