This security bulletin released by MS details a threat in which people can gain access to your computer dump files and effectively execute malicious code.

This security update is rated Critical for all supported editions of Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and rated Important for all supported editions of Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008.

If you have auto updates on it would've shown up today too. So don't stress out if you've already done a windows update and this patch says it doesn't apply to you.

O sorry, I was talking about Vista auto updates. Not sure what the XP one would be showing :)

My XP PCs just show it as a normal update, "Security Update for Windows XP (KB958644)"
