I'm really worried we're gonna lose this series. No quality spinner in our ranks I can't see us containing some of the Indian batsmen.

Plus our middle order vs Kumble and Singh could get seriously exposed which will hurt us (even though we have Brett Lee batting as low as 9).

Alls I can say is that Indians are crappy slaves "quote from Russell Peters".

I like the way you put quotation marks over the bit that isn't actually the quote.

Hayden gone in the first over... and on paper I rate the Indians as better than the Aussies for the first time in a long time.

I couldn't really see but was Hayden looking upset when he was given out? He seemed to turn his head around right away and just sort of walk off the field without any disappointment at all. Perhaps he got a feather touch on it.

I'm relying on the cricinfo feed:
Replays show some deviation. Not sure as to whether it is bat or pad. There was a noise. The ball hit the upright seam and shaved away. Looks like the ball passed the outside edge as the bat brushed pad. Very hard for the umpire to distinguish.

in my day, umpires gave benefit of the doubt to the batsmen

thats it, call the tour off, bring the boys home;

And Josh yells: "I cant believe Cameron White is playing. He's not even the number one spinner for Victoria! Having said that he's better than Krejza."

having said that, Michael Clarke will still get more overs than him.

Late wicket! 4/254 at the end of day 1. Pretty slow arm wrestle by the sound of it... if only I could see it on TV.

f***ing sky sports over here have pommie 'pundits' at team, carrying on about 'how times have changed, Australia are looking for a draw' harping on about no McGrath, Warne, Gilchrist etc etc

f*** off wankers, we'll still win the Ashes !

well, i don't think having warne or mc grath would have changed much, australia would still have had to bat for 3 days of this test, and this indian batting line up should be able to with stand 2 days of batting.

They might have, but i highly doubt it.

Judging by the description of the Hussey dismissal (haven't seen it yet), things could get a bit interesting on this last day, but draw seems the most likely outcome to me.

india is going to win. they're going to employ the same tactic the english did when going up against donald bradman except now they're using grenades. trust the indians to be hardcore.

aussies are in trouble in the second test
7/200 chasing 469

our bowling is flat, we need a decent spinner and clark playing

lets just hope we can bat our way to a draw :(

201 runs behind.

We'll struggle to save this test

Best chance was if India had made the Aussies follow on. It'll take a lot of good cricket from the Aussies to salvage this one now.

Lead of 300 runs and 10 wickets in hand = Draw or Indian victory.

I expect more eulogies for the death of Australian cricket dominance from the media, and plenty of cheering from the anti-baggy green people in the world.
