I've got a friend who has a small business in Melbourne - he basically needs someone to come in and secure his operation (1-2 servers, maybe 10 client PCs, a database server and a few access databases on a shared drive, sounds like).

I don't really have any suggestions for things like this - I guess flexible companies that can consider the needs of a small business from a security perspective and provide advice and expertise in locking it down using without impacting the day-to-day runnings in any serious ways.

Anyone in Melb have any suggestions? Bear in mind it's a small business so not exactly thinking any of those mega-corps.

I know that we (Deloitte) do it - but as you mentioned, I think we deal with larger sort of companies... If you can't think of anyone else - it could be worth a phonecall?

I'd definitely recommend Pepperstorm, but it really depends on his budget. They don't bill out at much less than say Dimension. If budget is a concern I can probably come up with a few other names.

I can certainly bring security skills to the table and wouldn't mind doing some outside of hours stuff if the money was right
