Tennis requiring talent? How the f*** is it entertaining? Drifting, now there's a sport that requires skill and is entertaining.

Anyone liking the players being able to check a call with that hawk eye technology or wtva it is? I reckon either have it calling the whole game or don't have it at all.

What, more than winning 10 grand slams? How many does he have to win before he's awesome?

He's the best tennis player I've ever watched by miles. Also, he's not a complete f***ing tool like many other tennis players so he gets mad propz

10 Grand Slams at 25 years old points towards him being about as awesome as they get.

The all important stats:

http://www.tennis28.com/studies/Federer_Sampras.html

and

http://federermagic.blogspot.com/2005/07/roger-federer-vs-pete-sampras.html

Would seem that Federer has some way to go to match Peter and I don't doubt he'll get there reaaaal soon, he seems to be catching up pretty quickly

Yeah but by then Sampras was waaaaay passed his peak. Not saying he couldn't beat him but it's stats and it doesn't really tell the whole story.

Rod Laver atm.

Federer needs at least a career grand slam (a win at roland garros) to even be considered better. Rod Laver did the grand slam twice in his career.

i'm pretty sure rod laver is happy he's not playing in federer's time, i think he's even been quoted as saying that?

pave thats a pretty n00b thing to say.

tennis then is played so different to tennis now.

there was like 0 top spin in games back then. now its like a key to so many shots.

balls were hit alot slower due to s***tier raquets (i think) and all sorts of s*** like that.

u can't really compare the 2 and say "if they could play each other who would win"

u can really only compare them on their level of sucess.

well no not really cause rod laver himself has said that, and i bet he hasn't said that about too many people

and everyone is talking about him being the best ever

Rod Laver saying that he is glad that he never played during Federer's time is purely lip service (keke) and nothing more.

Deep down he believes that in his prime, he'd smash fed all over the court (although that may not be necessarily true)

How about we watch an animated computer footage of the two playing each other and see who'd win and then stage a real hyped up exhibition match to publicise it and make moolah from it.

Much like in the new Rocky Balboa movie.
