All I can say is "wow!".

Me and eXisteNce went in there to check it out together. After a bit of trouble finding it (once you know where it is, you'll never forget) we walked downstairs into it. (To get there, look about 4 doors down from Subway, for "The Tourist Center". Look to the left for a small doorway, and you'll see a set of steps and a small black-and-white sign with the logo)

The first thing you notice is the heat that hits you. This is cause by 70 1.4ghz Athlon comps running at once. Though this is the case, the center has air-con running throughout the length of the place, keeping you cool as you play.

We entered, looked to the right, and found 2 computers side-by-side and sat down. A simple set-up, Win 98 with the game icons on the desktop.

Soon to be introduced is Server Query, which will aid in the experience.

Besides the computers humming away, towards the end of the room is a 'chill-out/eats' zone. Two armchairs and a 3-seater couch surrounding a glass coffee-table. Helpful when you've just run to Subway (4 doors up, so there's close food too) and wanna chow down withought farkin' thier keyboards to s***.

The system is awesome, unlike Central Pool Hall (another LAN cafe) if you are a member (im not sure about the system for guests) you are given a uniqe login and you only pay for what you use.

Reasonable prices too. $5.00 an hour, $4.50 for silver-members (i think, dont quote me) and $4.00 (also unsure) for gold-members.

The staff there are friendly and willing to help you out, and even play a game with you. The games include: CS, HL, TFC, DOD, SC-Brood Wars, Tribes 2, UT and Q3.

So next time you're bored as s***, head into the Queen Street Mall and jump into the bunker.

its alot cheaper for them to buy 100 outright copies of win98 then 100 copies of win2k pro. tho they _might_ have a coporate license it would still be alot cheaper.

one suggestion i think i could make for this place (the only legitimate fault i can see so far) is that they replace about half their mice wih mouseman's or give people the ability to bring their own mice. (last time i checked most people eiterh used an intellimouse or a mouseman wheel).

I use an M$ optical mice with the default Windows speed, no acceleration, and my HL sensitivity is 2.4. :)

The only thing that I can see them needing to do there is get some sorta script or save functions for ingame key configs...
It is a real pain in the ass to do it when your on a limited time alotment.

Well, in cs you just type in the console "exec fpconfig.cfg"...

Or, and this is just an idea. They could have some sort of database on a server, everytime you hop on the machine, you open a little proggie, and load your config, and save it at the end or whatever.
