try checking the UQ calendar.

There's no reference to exam results on the Events page.

Last year it took 6 days from the last examination for the results to be released. It seems to be taking longer this time round (9 days so far)

yeah, it's not on the friggin calendar you newb

i noticed they have removed access to the studies report (past marks etc) on si-net

which means the results are probably in the system cept they are buttholes and they won't let you have them until the results date

which they haven't specified

Yeah, I think it's this Wednesday.

It used to be that you could check 'em via the study report but they got rid of that last semester. Good luck guys.

UQ results are supposed to be released tomorrow, Wednesday 30th Nov - every person I know (many of whom are in different faculties) have all been told this...so even though it's not on the UQ "events" calendar, and they haven't sent us out any emails saying what time people from different faculties have to get up in the morning to check their results, you can bet that they'll be up sometime tomorrow.

I know that feeling dude. I've spent the last 3 years of uni in that mode. I get passes and credits for putting in 0 effort so I fail to see the point in putting in more effort. The education system has some major flaws :(

I'm thinking of taking time off next semester too and I've been told (by the people in the BACS Faculty) that if I do, I just need to let them know when I'm taking time off and when I'm coming back (you can only be enrolled in a degree for a certain amount of time that's why...think it's a max of like 12 years for an undergrad degree at UQ). Once you do that you're fine - you don't enrol in any subjects - you just do as you please.

Might be different for different Faculties though - a good friend of mine just finished an Arts/Education degree and she said that the rules were different. Best to give your Faculty a call just to check.

I never told anyone I was doing anything, I just didn't enrol. I'd probably check with someone, I don't think my uni career is a particularly stellar example of the best way to complete a degree

Yeah never heard of having to inform anyone of a leave of absence (such as at QUT) - just don't enrol in anything - of course the clock is still ticking on the number of years you have to complete your degree, which, last I checked, for a full time degree is nine

That was for a Bachelor of Science, hence BACS faculty

Ten :) (edit: at least, 10 for B.Sc in EPSA at UQ) Then you need an extension, which involved (for me) making an appointment with the director of studies for my faculty, walking in and explaining in about 5 minutes why I wanted to keep studying, and him saying that it'd probably be fine and they'd let me know, then a few hours later I got an email saying it was all cool.
