If its PCI-Express then prob a X800GTO2 (mod to x850), if its agp then cant go past a 6600GT.
also depends on what kind of games your into , Nvidia for Doom3/Quake 4(Open GL), ATI for HL2/Farcry(Direct3D). last edited by 0z at 20:17:58 24/Sep/05 |

around $300 primarly looking to use it for everyday use why splurge out on a 7800 gtx when he doesnt want to spend that much and more importantly doesnt need the card. |

ok someone tell me the differences between an AGP motherboard and an PCI-Express. from what i understand PCI-express is faster and only PCI-E video cards can be used on a PCI-express board. correct? is it worth getting a pci-e motherboard and if so what should i be looking at or should i just get a normal amd motherboard. cheers (btw this is for my mate who is also getting the video card)

LiquidWax you might as well get a pci express board, nForce 4 SLI for the win.
Agp is allmost vapourware now, speed advantanges agp over pci express atm is nill, its more future proofing. |
