I meant to post about this a couple weeks back when there was some awesome music up there, but I forgot and now some of the really awesome stuff is gone... but keep your eyes on Triple J's mp3 page. They are putting up a bunch of cool music there FO FREE.

From what is up there now I'd recommend:

I don't know if you can still find them anywhere else to download but they had a couple of songs by a band called The Drones, which I really dug - one in particular called 'Shark Fin Blues'.

I've picked up 32 new songs so far and counting!

Im pretty sure MTV is doing the same thing. Well I see the ads on MTV saying you can download some new music for free.

Yeah they are pretty good with updating these. A lot of crap gets put on there, but there are some gems in the mix as well. Heard that epicure song earlier today, it's not bad.

I just put these on my PSP to take home, how awesome is that!

Aren't all mp3's free? Just some places are more public and easily accessed like the triple M website.

MP3 is just a format, it's the content of the file and the licencing agreements between the parties involved that defines the legality.

I know. But it's common term. You don't say "wma's" or "oggvorbises" or "rm's" , it's mp3's. mp3's is synonomous to music just like google is to searching.
