AN eighth Police Academy movie is on the cards – and all the original stars are being invited back. Steve Guttenberg, Bubba Smith and Leslie Easterbrook are among the actors being asked to make cameos in the film.

The film makers feel the time is right for the original castmates to return and pass the truncheon to a group of new recruits.

Leslie, who played LT Debbie Callahan in all but one of the six sequels, has already agreed to reprise her role.

If this goes ahead it is gonna be so craptastic. Man, after the 3rd one they all ended up like a big pile of ass.

These movies should be left alone. They're classics and this will ruin the series for sure.

I haven't seen the new one and I won't be seeing it.

I had nightmares from the first willy wonka damn it.....

Totally agreed, although i did like 4,5 & 6 when I was younger, i don't particularily see them the same way now mainly because they became more and more of a childrens movie from 4 onwards. I still enjoy watching the first 3 and I never liked number 7, I don't think anyone did.

On the plus side, Steve Guttenburg must be happy about this, it finally means some more work for him :)

It's hardly fair to say that. With a decent director and good writers it could be great, think super troopers. It really all depends on who's at the helm rather than which actors are making comebacks.

Tackleberry won't be in it - the actor who played him, David Graf, died a couple of years ago from a heart attack.

This should be interesting.
