i had a (legit) copy of nero 5 installed on my pc not long ago, and i formatted my windows xp drive and reinstalled xp (a legit copy ;p) without uninstalling nero beforehand.
with a fresh installation of xp, i manually removed the nero folder, as windows no longer recognised it. now when i try to install nero it says that an older copy exists on the computer. i've deleted the entire program files folder (and some registry entries) but it will not install. any help? cheers |

You formated your HDD and then deleted a folder?

When you tried to run it, it would of created registry entries..
Once you have deleted the Ahead/Nero directory, fire up regedit and delete any entries for Ahead/Nero then reinstall from CD. |
