I guess I could have chucked this into one of the other billion BF2 threads which already exist, but I figured I'd make a new one and make it a billion and one.
Does anyone have any idea how much upstream bandwidth BF2 uses? I dont have anything on my PC that can really measure it, so I was curious. Reason I'm asking is I'm wondering how many people could play it online through one cable connection with a 128k upstream without starting to get lag and connection problems. Anyone run any tests or got any numbers on this? |

Probably 2 people on a 512k connection would be ok.
I've played with 8-16 people on a 1mbit upload server (around 100ish kbs upload) and it works fine. |

Alright Khel, I just did a quick test for you ...
Playing on a [full] 32-player server, flying a helicopter with about 4 guys near me in vehicles, I was doing 15kB/s downstream and 2kB/s upstream consistently. I think you should be fine. |
