i purchased a asus v7100 and the drivers with the card installed, then i rebooted, and back to 16colour 640x480 default VGA driver again!!!!

tried new asus drivers, no luck, new dets, no luck, the i found this in the properties.

Input/Output Range 03B0 - 03BB used by:
VIA Tech CPU to AGP Controller
Input/Output Range 03C0 - 03DF used by:
VIA Tech CPU to AGP Controller
Memory Range 000A0000 - 000BFFFF used by:
VIA Tech CPU to AGP Controller

hardware gurus please help :)

have you got the latest via 4-in-1 drivers installed?

and btw what mobo,etc?

What card did you have in there before ??

I had the exact same problem when I un-installed a TNT-2 and replaced it with another TNT-2 - but the 2nd one was made by Apollo, the first one was made by some other sk's... BTW I never resolved the issue properly, the only drivers that wuold work were some s*** windows ones, but they made my computer really unstable

I had this problem when I installed the latest dets, truly f***ed my computer for a day. Youve gotta remove ALL things relating to video cards, muck around a bit, I tihnk I even installed my mobo drivers again
