I've been looking for _ages_ on the QUT websites and gettingstarted website for a link to search for the cost of courses. Anyone able to find a link?

I couldn't tell you what the Uni/GSF fees are, they would change for every uni. However, if you're asking about the HECS fees, you're looking at ABOUT 5.4k/year for IT.

HECS are based on three bands, Band 1 is like Law, Medicine etc, Band 2 are technologies - Engineering, IT, Multimedia, and Band 3 are Arts, social sciences etc.

From memory it was something like 2,900 for me per semester doing four Band 2 subjects... for a four year degree you're looking at ~$20k on HECS.

Remember, you only pay HECS when you break about the 35k/year barrier, so don't stress too much if you think you'll be working a rats*** low-pay job. It's an indexed loan.

If you're talking about GSF on the other hand, ring the uni if you can't find it. *laughs*... or I could ask the guys in the office here who work for a company that do reviews on uni websites with regards to how easy it is to find info etc.

imo HECS is a bad choice (sometimes the only choice though) - You'll be working and can be 6 years later you're still paying it off :( Save up and get that 25% discount too :p

Paying up front is cheaper i think, just do that so no HECS debt ( if you can afford it )

Yeah I'm paying up front, and working at Dominos to afford it. The 25% discount is just too good a deal to pass up. This means, however, that buying a car will have to wait. Still going on a NZ ski holiday this year though :D
