Hey, my incompetent brother borrowed the 5mp Sony Digital camera to go take photos of some cars, and when he bought it home, the LCD screen on it seems to be interally smashed (can see the smash marks, but cant feel them)

Nothing will show on the screen besides some retarted white light in some areas!

Think this would be covered on warranty?, he didn't notice it until copying the pictures onto the computer..

Otherwise, how much does a repair job cost for a new screen?

From memory (at least with mobile phones), LCD Screens are pretty much never under warranty.

Get your brother to buy you a new one.

i can never seem to get pictures from the sony to come out with the 'great' look, only good or standard, especially when close up, would this be due to only having the default lense? - i noticed that shrapses olympic/is(sp?) brand camera can do really nice close ups..
